Drawings from
The Portfolio of Biological Futurism
Since the beginning of life on earth, species have undergone a series of “mass extinctions”. Many species have died out due to climate change or because their niches were overwhelmed by more successful contenders. Paradoxically, while thousands of species have vanished, pollution of the planet, rising sea levels and deliberate genetic modifications by man have caused certain animals and plants to evolve and mutate at an alarming rate in order to survive.
In the Portfolio of Biological Futurism, I am looking many, many years into the future to see how these creatures might evolve. Each graphite pieces has a (very short) story of discovery and behavior. If you are interested in the story that goes with a piece, please drop me an email and I will send it to you.
